Teaching Aims:

1. Knowledge aims:

(1) Students can understand the basic meaning of some new words, such as, play chess, play the guitar and so on.

(2) Students can make use of the fixed structures “Can you swim?” “Yes, I can. \No, I can’t.” and “I want to join the music club.”

2. Ability aims:

(1) Students can make use of some simple English to communicate in English class.

(2) Students can improve their listening and speaking abilities through making a role play.

(3) Students can get the main idea about what they are talking about after listening.

3. Emotional aims:

(1) Students can foster the interests and desire of learning English, and can take part in speaking activities actively.

(2) Students can cooperate with others and complete the tasks together.

(3) Students can learn to be kind to the disabled people.

Teaching Key and Difficult Points:

1. Key points:

(1) Students can master the usage of 3 key structures “Can you swim?” “Yes, I can. \No, I can’t.” and “I want to join the music club.”

(2) Students can get the main idea of listening material and search more information.

2. Difficult points:

(1) Students can use the key words and structures to describe things in their daily life.

(2) Students can improve the confidence of learning English.

Teaching Aids:

I use multi-media, pictures, and so on.

Teaching Methods:

Tasked-based teaching method, audio-lingual approach and communicative teaching method are used in my class.
